Naturopath Providers Now Regulated on HCAI

On July 16, 2015, HCAI announced that their system has been adjusted to add naturopathy to regulated professions.

For those who already have a naturopathic physician in your Associated Providers list on the HCAI portal, you may want to add the Naturopath (Regulated) profession to that name.

Update Existing Providers in HCAI

As an administrator, you can update existing naturopathic providers on HCAI from Manage > Facility Management.

1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you reach the Associated Providers section.
   
2. Click on the provider name link you want to update.
3. Under the Profession Details heading, click the ADD PROFESSION button.
   
4. In the new line, select Naturopath (Regulated) and enter the provider’s College Registration Number.
5. Click SAVE.

What’s next?

You’ll want to add NTR profession code to the Staff Types library in Universal Office, and then update the profession for the individual provider. Follow the instructions provided in the Add and manage Staff Types knowledgebase article on our Online Help Centre.

Please note that while you may have Naturopathic providers sign Part 5 on the OCF-18, they cannot sign Part 4 of the claim form.
