Our WSIB claim submission module – which electronically submits invoices to WSIB Ontario via TELUS Health WSIB eServices – was first released back in the summer of 2012. And while only a few have adopted this module, we’ve gathered numerous change requests since then. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we have started to rebuild our existing WSIB electronic claims module!
One of the most challenging parts of WSIB is the reconciliation of payment advice received from their system. Those who use this module, as well as the ones who use the WSIB online portal, are well aware of this challenge – which is why we will attempt to resolve it. The technical system requirements of the WSIB eServices toolkit (API) have also been updated since our initial release. But these won’t be the only improvements to our new and improved module!
In the next release, you can expect several enhancements in the following features:
- Submit claims and receive responses electronically
- Void and resubmit claims
- Receive payment advice electronically
The list of eligible healthcare professionals who can submit via WSIB eServices has also been extended since our initial release. It now includes:
- Audiologists
- Chiropodists
- Chiropractors
- Dentists / denturists
- Kinesiologists
- Massage therapists
- Occupational therapists
- Opticians
- Optometrists
- Pharmacists
- Physicians and surgeons
- Physiotherapists
- Podiatrists
- Psychologists
- Registered nurses
Collectively, all these changes have persuaded us to rebuild our module from the ground up. This will allow us to be thorough and provide our customers with the most efficient practice management tools available.
In order to complete this rebuild effectively, we will discontinue updates and distribution of our existing WSIB module starting now. However, once the new module is released, you will be notified and provided with a download link and installation instructions. Also, once the new release is announced, we will individually contact each of our customers who use the current WSIB module to schedule an update.
