We do not host, store or backup your data – nor do we have constant, anytime access to your data, your network or your computers.
In order to provide you with on-demand support, we use the GoToAssist technology developed by Citrix, the same company that developed GoToMeeting. For our customer service technicians to be able to connect and provide you with remote support, we need you to assist us with the connection. And while we work to resolve the issue you called about, you can watch what we do on your screen. Once disconnected, we no longer have access to your computer, your network or your data. Without your help, we have no way of logging into your computer.
We want to make it clear that the patient data you enter and work with in Universal Office, physically resides on the computer you dedicate to be your main server computer. If you choose to discard that computer or you lose the data due to hardware (or other types of system) failure and you do not have a backup, we have no way of restoring that information.
As the owner of your organization, you have the responsibility to back up and store your data that you keep in Universal Office – just as you do with any other application, such as accounting or word processing.
Also, in cases of requests by licensing or governing bodies, we are unable to provide any data, as we simply do not have it.
We take data privacy and security seriously, therefore, we strongly recommend you plan to safely store and back up your information. As for any information you provide us, we do not disclose it to any third parties.
