On March 7, 2011, a new release of HCAI is planned. The following GAP Codes are affected by this new release, and must be added or changed as applicable in Universal Office.
Deprecated GAP Codes
The following table shows the list of deprecated GAP codes that become invalid during this release. It is your responsibility to make note of these codes and no longer use them in Universal Office.
In order to locate the codes you currently use, we recommend that you download and run Activities Report 1 and Templates Report 2. These reports will identify which codes currently reside in your Activities Manager and any existing preset templates. Once you have identified these codes, please click the Help button on the main toolbar in Universal Office and search for Adding/Deleting a Resource’s Activities or Editing an Existing Preset to access more information on how to remove these codes from these two areas and, if appropriate, add new codes in their place.

Updated GAP Codes
The following GAP codes have updated descriptions. It is your responsibility to update these descriptions in Universal Office.
To change these descriptions:
- Click Start > Universal Office CPR > Administration Setup.
- Login to Administration Setup.
- Double-click Service Codes. You are presented with a list of service code groups.
- To change the three updated GAP codes in the table below, double-click GAP/A Administrative Services.
- Click on the current description of the code to change, then right-click and select Edit.
- Change the description in the Description field.
- Click Save and Close.
- Perform these steps to change all three descriptions listed below.

The following occupation codes will be affected by this March 7 release as well.
You’ll want to update these profession codes in the Staff Types library in Universal Office, and then update the profession for the individual provider. Follow the instructions provided in the Create and Manage Staff Types knowledgebase article on our Online Help Centre.
