Back in April, we advised Universal Office users about the upcoming HCAI Release 3.35 scheduled to go live on June 29, 2026.
We are pleased to announce that the Universal Office update supporting these changes is now available and will be rolled out to clients over the coming weeks.
What This Update Includes
This release prepares Universal Office for HCAI Release 3.35 and includes support for updated OCF requirements introduced by HCAI.
As always, our goal is to ensure your clinic can continue creating, submitting, and managing HCAI forms through Universal Office without disruption.
How the Update Will Be Delivered
For most clients, the update will be pushed to their dedicated Universal Office server automatically.
Once the update is deployed to your server, users launching Universal Office from their workstations will be prompted to update to the latest version.
The update process is straightforward and typically takes only a few minutes to complete.
If Your Organization Uses Managed IT Services
Some organizations restrict software installations through Windows security policies, domain controls, or managed IT environments.
If you do not have permission to install software on your workstation, you may be unable to complete the Universal Office update yourself. In that case, please contact your IT department and ask them to run the update on your workstation.

OCF Printing Options
Following installation of this update, users will have the option to print OCF forms using either:
- The new HCAI form format introduced with Release 3.35, or
- The previous version of the OCF format.
This flexibility is intended to help clinics transition smoothly while adapting their internal processes and workflows.
Recommended Timeline
Although the rollout has begun, we strongly recommend updating before June 29, 2026 to ensure uninterrupted HCAI operations and continued compliance with the latest HCAI requirements.
