The time for HCAI’s Fall 2017 System update is now. HCAI announced that the release is scheduled for October 2, 2017. As a result, HCAI won’t be available between 5:00p.m. (ET) on Friday, September 29, 2017 and 8:00a.m. (ET) on Monday, October 2, 2017.
Check out the What’s New? video or visit the bulletin page on the HCAI website for what you need to know about the upcoming update.
As you can see, most of the changes do not affect your practice management system, except for one. As technology is moving forward, so is HCAI. To function properly, the .NET Framework version 4.6 or later is now required. But what is the .NET Framework and why do we need it? howtogeek.com found a fun and simple way to explain it.
You don’t need to worry about the .NET Framework if you run Windows updates. However, if you are behind on those, now is the time to catch up.
As you may already know from our previous blog, TELUS Health required Practice Management vendors to add a Terms and Conditions statement to all new outgoing claims. Now, you are required to accept the terms in order to submit a claim. Previously, each of the TELUS eClaims participating insurers defined their own Terms and Conditions. Now, there will be one standard version applicable to all participating insurers.
At Antibex Software, we are determined to keep your practice management system up to date. All mandatory changes as well as system improvements will be included in the upcoming Universal Office update.
Please stay tuned for the announcement of the release of the latest Universal Office update.
