Much like Universal Office, HCAI maintains their platform on a regular basis – and this time, HCAI has announced two dates that are scheduled in the very near future. The maintenance windows have been scheduled for:
- Sunday, May 27th from 2:00 a.m. (EDT) and is expected to resume active status at 10:00 a.m. (EDT)
- Sunday, June 10th from 2:00 a.m. (EDT) and is expected to resume active status at 10:00 a.m. (EDT)
During these maintenance hours, www.hcai.ca visitors will be unable to sign in and will instead be presented with a generic, web browser-generated message indicating that the webpage is unavailable. Also during this time, healthcare facilities will not be allowed to submit OCF claim forms to MVA insurers from HCAI and practice management systems (such as Universal Office).
You can monitor HCAI system status at www.hcaiinfo.ca. During the maintenance windows, it will be indicated red with an outage message. Once the HCAI system is up and running, it will give you a green light along with the “HCAI transactions are being processed well” message.
While you cannot submit claim forms to HCAI, you can continue to create OCF-18s, OCF 23s and OCF-21s as usual in your Universal Office system. Create, proofread and save your claim forms as HCAI Compliant to validate every detail of the form against HCAI business rules before storing them. When HCAI resumes its services, you can submit created claim forms all at once from the HCAI Tracking Manager.
